Dr Nizam Dastagir is a Specialist Physician in acute care and general medicine who has been working at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital since 2015.​ He also works at Buderim Private Hospital.
Dr Dastagir is a skilled physician with broad experience in general medicine involving acute, chronic and multisystem diseases.​
Along with general medicine, his advanced registrar training was enriched by working in other sub specialties including Cardiology, Respiratory, Endocrine and Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Inpatient care is the care of patients whose condition requires admission to hospital and usually is directed towards more serious ailments and trauma that require one or more days of overnight stay at a hospital.

Health issues (most common) include Pneumonia, Multisystem diseases, COAD, Asthma, Sepsis, Cellulitis, General decline, Dementia, Heart failure, Stroke in elderly, Diabetes, Hypertension, Perioperative care, Anaemia, Syncope, Optimising polypharmacy and deprescribing.
Referral
A referral letter from your General Practitioner is necessary for you to see Dr Nizam Dastagir
This enables you to receive the maximum Medicare rebate and your specialist can also send a return letter to your referring GP. You can get a referral from your own GP. All new medical issues require a new referral and we must receive your referral prior to making an appointment for you.
